

Lexi Buckheit
Lexi is 25 years old and hails from Mansfield, PA. She attended Alfred University in Alfred, NY with a Bachelor of Fine Art & Design, along with Minors in Art Education, and Equine Science. As a member of the AU IHSA team, she competed for all four years as the Open Level rider for both Western Horsemanship and Reining. Lexi secured the Regional Champion Title three of her years on the collegiate team with the fourth year ending in a Reserve title, as well as the 2015 Semi Final Open Reining Champion, 2015 National Open Reining Top 4, and 2015 NRHA Collegiate World Cup Top 10. She has continued on with the IHSA Alumni division securing a 2017 Regional Reserve Reining Championship, 2017 Regional Reserve Horsemanship Championship, 2019 Regional Reserve Horsemanship Championship, and 2019 Regional Reining Championship. In 2019 she is continuing on to the IHSA Semi Finals in Findlay Ohio in both Alumni Western Horsemanship and Reining as well as the Alumni Tournament of Champions in June. Among these accomplishments, Lexi is also an avid trainer and competitor among barrel racing horses on the East Coast. A few of her accomplishments include PHSRA State Finals Barrel Racing Champion, PHSRA State Finals Pole Bending Champion, numerous NBHA Super show 1D top 5 finishes, multiple NBHA NY06 Year End 1D and 2D Championships, 2013 NYS NBHA 1D State Champion (including winner of all three go rounds and fastest time of the show trophy), Miss Rodeo New York (Rodeo Queen Title 2013), and competing at the National Finals Rodeo “Miss Rodeo America Pageant”.
Lexi has produced several 1D caliber barrel horses who have competed successfully at both the state and national level, her list of accomplishments continues to grow. In 2017 she opened the doors of LVR to offer training, lessons, boarding, and camps to the public.
